How Atlanta Beat Members Spend Time Off The Court
The Atlanta Beat are a great women’s soccer team in the US, who are a top contender during the season. But, when the season comes to an end, the women tend to take some time off, before getting back to practice, and preparing for the next season. So, during the off season, other than take vacation time off, many of the women engage in community and charity events. Many will hold youth camps and leagues, for young girls looking to learn the game of soccer, and to get the skills and training they need in order to play the game well.
Many of the team members also do local charity events, such as organized friendly games, food drives, as well as helping out in their local Atlanta community. Once these events are completed, and their time off from the season comes to an end, the women are ready to get back to training. Since the off season is only a few months long, they are back to training within a few weeks after the season’s end. They will enter leagues during the off season, in order for the team to play together, and compete in friendly matches with other women’s teams in the league.
They of course also hold regular team practices, strength and agility training, and weight training days. They do not take much time off for the simple fact that the team is in such a competative league, and in a competative conference, that they have to get all the practice they can in the off season, in order to be a contendor when the season starts back up. So, after a few weeks off, the team is back at it, playing in local tournaments, and holding their daily practices to get ready for the season to come.
